Roofing Spray foam Services
A spray foam roofing installation can be applied over an existing roof, but it does requires a clean surface for proper application. It must be dry and free of contaminants like oil. The final step of the process is the application of a protective elastomeric topcoat. The topcoat is essential to protecting and sealing the foam roofing from potential damage caused by the sun’s UV rays, stretching (due to temperature changes), moisture, and fire.
Spray foam roofs are significantly lighter than traditional roofing systems like asphalt, putting less stress on the frame of your home. Spray foam roofing is also able to prevent standing water, a common problem with conventional roofing systems. To do this, your installer will build up areas of greater foam thickness while spraying so that water will drain properly. Without this safeguard, water accumulation could lead to a roof collapse.

Some building owners don’t realize that spraying roofing foam over the roof is an option. If you have a roof leak with your roof, installing spray foam over top can close all those leaks and provide you with more R value. In fact, spray foam has a 100% chemical adhesion across the entire roof.

What is Foam Roofing?
Polyurethane foam is a liquid that is applied over existing roofs to create and expand into a foam layer. It is incredibly helpful for asphalt roofing shingles or metal panel roofs to create a layer of insulation and make your home more energy efficient. There are quite a few roof shingle types that can be installed with foam roofing.
How long does roofing foam last?
Every 10 or 15 years, depending on the type and amount of foam roof coating installed, your spray foam roof will need to be cleaned, primed, and recoated. If this is done, then a good-quality spray foam roof could last 50 years or longer.
What does the foam roofing cost ?
For an average 20,000 sq. foot commercial roof, it will usually cost between $3.50 and $7.00 per square foot in materials and labor to install a typical SPF roofing system. This price range is for an SPF roof of average thickness and building structure.
